1841 Hydraulic Issues

Bought an 1841 with 3pt that wasn't working. There were a few signs something was wrong when I bought it and that someone. The pump had a bleed valve installed where the plug is supposed to be. The 3pt control lever was also installed by previous owner so that the whole assembly was rotated 90 ccw.

Last night I pulled the pump and disassembled it for a rebuild. I found the needle bearing shelled out. I'll have to get an internal bearing/race puller before I can go much farther.

Any thoughts or suggestions about what I should be looking for if/when I pull the 3pt top cover. On one hand I'd like to see if a fresh pump fixes the issue. On the other hand I'd like to open it up and get any parts I might need on order.

Any help, suggestions, recommendations would be appreciated.

"the whole assembly was rotated 90 ccw" What exactly was rotated? And since you have the pump apart it is time to replace the seal and have a good look at the shaft and also the intake check valve springs.
