I have a Ford 800, 6 volt system. I can't seem to get spark at the points. Replaced points, coil, condenser. Theres no stark at the points when turning over. But if I put a
screwdriver on the points it sparks? I definitely have power there. I would appreciate any help.

Did you clean the "shipping oil" off of them and gap them so they
open and close electrically? There have been some quality issues
lately where the points won't actually make contact when closed.

Put a test light or volt meter on the wire where it hooks to points. With points open you should see power. With points closed the power should go away.

If you still see power with the points closed you have a grounding problem. This could be as simple as bad point contacts or advance plate where points mount not grounding. Some times fresh paint will not allow the distributor to ground to block.
