Ford 640 not getting oil to valve train

Hi, I have a 1962 Ford 640 Tractor, ran great with lots of power, no smoke etc. For some reason oil stopped getting to valvetrain, I disassembled rebuilt head, changed oil, reassembled etc. Before trying to start I tested oil pressure by spinning the pump through the distributer. 40 lbs pressure reading on gauge but no oil flow to valve train. oil tube is clear when I blow through it. Any suggestions where I might start to look next.

thanks

Dan

amshaft must be rotating for oil to reach that tube, unless on a very long shot, cam stopped just exactly in the one right spot to open that path.

Great diagram, so if I crank the engine over oil should flow to head? My concern is I have not isolated the original issue that kept oil from head. I will attempt to crank engine on Monday to see if oil will flow to head. Thanks

ow about rubber grommet on bottom of that tube?

Not that it would make much difference to your problem, but if it is a 1962 then it would be a 641, not a 640. I don t know if there were any changes, but it is nice to know what tractor you have so you can get correct parts, advice, etc.
