Recently picked up a ford 800 diesel tractor may be a 1957. The
three-point hydraulics go up only halfway and then all the way up
when they want to but have stayed at the halfway mark for a while
now does anybody have a picture of a manual that shows where the
hydraulic drain and fill is incapacity may not have any fluid in it not
too sure any help appreciated thanks!

1st off, you need to figure out what you're working on. Ford did not make a diesel in an 800 series, nor did they build a diesel in 1957.

Agreed with Larry. Get the numbers off the transmission flat located below the battery. This will narrow things down.

Agreed with the earlier posters but such is probably not relevant to your issue.

Most likely your problem is not related to oil level, though you certainly should check/replenish/change the hydraulic oil.

More than likely, your tractor has a badly worn cam follower pin and (again likely) needs the draft and position control adjustments corrected.
