Ford 3400 diesel injection pump leaking

Hi, I have a Ford 3400 diesel. The diesel injection pump is leaking on the top linkage towards the back of the tractor. Is it something that can be repaired or will I need to replace the pump with a new one?
If I have to replace with a new one what is the process?

Thank you, nek58

Most 3000 series tractors had the Simms in-line pump, but some had the CAV rotary pump. If you know which yours has please specify. If not, post a picture of the pump and we can tell you.

Sorry the pump is greasy. That is my next step to power wash the tractor.

Which type of pump do I have? Is it something I could repair or will I have to take it to the dealer?

You have the Cav rotary pump. That's a good thing.

Likely most dealers will send it to an injection service shop. Dieseltech rebuilds pumps. Al Baker(pumpman) is another and there are others that frequent the site that do this work, or you may have an injection service shop local to you. I would not recommend you try fixing it yourself. Have someone who does this work and has the equipment to test and set it up right make all the repairs it needs, not just try to get away with a couple seals. JMHO

I agree with jim.
got my injectors out of adjustment and sent them to Al Baker/pumpmanSC and they came back with the proper pressure setting.
Most dealer's no longer work on pumps. They send them out for rebuild at a pump shops. They really want to sell you a new one for about $2,000
