Ford 850 creeps forward in neutral.

I've noticed that the tractor tries to move forward in neutral with the clutch out. Something inside is dragging is my guess. Bad bearing or bent shift fork maybe?

Creep forward lightly were you can hold against it to keep it from moving or with enough force the brakes are needed to stop movement.
Been many year since dad's 850 but when it was cool it would creep forward some, probably from friction caused from the heavy 80w gear oil used in the trans, that tractor was worked hard the entire time we owned it without a single transmission issue, well it would pop out of 4th going down hill with a load behind it but I didn't consider that a concerning issue, just learned to hold on to the shifter when going down grade in 4th.

If it's creeping forward with force you probably need to look in to at.

My 860 will act the same way in colder months. With its limited use, I block the clutch down while its parked in my pole barn. I start it and let it run for a few minutes to let the oil and warm up so it doesnt try to creep when the oil is cold.
