Hi Y all, new to the forum.

I just purchased a 1972 Ford 2000 and I d like to buy a used loader for it but I m struggling to find a straight answer as to which will fit without modifications. I have seen people say both 730 and 720 will work. If anyone knows which is correct please let me know.

I've got a 2600 diesel with PS and it has a Bushhog brand loader on it. It's a quick disconnect which I use often. I can easily destroy my tractor with the loader if I wasn't careful as the frt. end isn't made for as much of a load as a loader can place on it.

The 730 is the proper loader for a 2000 ag chassis tractor. The 720 is listed as an industrial loader so it probably has more lift capacity. The standard front mounting bracket for a 720 won't mount to the front of your 2000, but with a little fabrication it could be made to fit, but the full lifting capacity of the 730 is more stress than you should really be putting on the front axle any way so I would stick with the 730. Or you can use any of a number of new third party loaders that have quick attach mounts that are more versatile than the old style like the 730 or 720.
