Hi All, have a ford 2120, has the shuttle shift, loader - 3 point, the hydraulics seem to quit working on it,drives fine, then I
will bleed the hydraulics and the lifts work fine, until I let it sit for a few days, then I have to bleed em again to get them to
lift, it is also hard to start, but runs great and plenty of power and no blow-by or smoke, has low hours on it, does this engine
have glow plugs? the filters have been replaced and filled with Hydraulic fluid, no difference, same problem. has 2 engine mounted
pumps, both have been removed and inspected, see no problems, any suggestions or related problems with a fix??

Hi, mine has a spin on filter on the suction side of the piping.. I drained fluid, replaced ALL Orings and gaskets on the suction side from differential to the pumps, replace Hydraulic filter, and the gasket at the differential also.. so,I cover the air leak on the suction side of the Hydraulics, the Loader, 3 point, and PTO does not work, seems the HHS trans pump & the Hydraulic pump for the loader & 3 point use the same suction pipe but the piping goes to the hydraulic pump first.. so, anyone know where my next step would be?? pump air leakage?? pressure by passing somewhere?? I first wanted to cover any air leaks on the suction side, or clogged filter, I have done that..

Depending on what year it is it could have the spin on filter as well as the screen in the transmission.

been taking my time working on this tractor, so far, I have the loader & 3 point working great.
I removed the diverter valve and dismantled, found the check valve stuck and the inside of the valve filthy, cleaned, used engine assembly lube on all the parts, reinstalled and the loader & 3 point work great .. now, time to get to work on the HSS trans.. hooked my pressure tester up and it has the 250lbs the book says it requires, removed the shuttle shift valve and dismantled, it was too filthy and a couple of the valves were stuck in it also.cleaned and lubed and awaiting time to reinstall. I feel pretty good about the outcome,I believe the stuck valves were letting the pump pressure go back into the sump, let you know how it comes out :D

[trans problem is repaired, through research I found that I need to use Hydraulic fluid # 134-D . it's for trans & differential's with wet brakes, they claim the regular #134 eats the brake pads up and the pieces end up in the hydraulics, the cleaning of the valves and replacing all Orings on suction side of pumps ans new spin on filter did the trick quote="boatmoter"](reply to post at 21:55:54 09/01/20) [/quote]
