Looking for any help possible with Rest-O-Ride seat springs and bushings?
Also need short stabars?

Stabilizer bars may still be available from CNH. The part number is 230917 and is listed as a "sway bar".

Dean do you know of anyone who has those springs in stock?

I waited for over a year for the last set I ordered and they never

arrived. I got a refund, since it was a reputable company.

The only place I've had any luck actually getting them in the past

year was from eBay when I bought the whole rebuild kit. ~$150

And I agree, replace them all while you're at it.

Here's a thread about my last ROR rebuild.

R-O-R torsion springs and bushings are readily available from the aftermarket. Chinese made torsion springs have a VERY bad reputation. Don't know if they have improved.

7/9 series stabilizer bars are hard to find but not difficult to make.

Thx for the reply. I have seen several ads for left hand side only so any help is appreciated.
Should I replace all bushings in seat as well as springs?
Where could I get a pattern or drawing detailed enough to fab THE BARS?

I always replace all bushings and both springs when rebuilding a R-O-R seat.

Both bushings and Chinese made torsion springs are readily available, probably here as well as other well known sources. Google to find them.

In the past, I remember someone posting a sketch of the 7/9 series stabilizer bars here. It included the information needed to make a set. I believe it was two or three years ago. I did not save it but you might be able to find the thread.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: 1964 JD 2010 Dsl - Part 2 - by Jim Nielsen. Despite having to disassemble the majority of my John Deere 2010's diesel engine, I was still hopeful I could leave the engine-complete with crankshaft and camshaft-in the tractor. This would make the whole engine rebuild job much easier-and much less expensive! I soon found however, that the #4 conrod bearing had disintegrated, taking with it chunks of the crankshaft journal. As a resul ... [Read Article]
