My 1959 601 Workmaster 3 point hitch only raises about 2/3 the way up.
I don't know how to go about adjusting to get max height.
The dowel pin is not worn I have replaced it.

Thanks for any help.

oes it reach full height in DRAFT mode?

Can you make it go up manually by going thru the oil fill hole with a screwdriver and pushing the control valve forward...

Thank You.
et us not jump too far ahead. can you force the lift as Hobo asked?

Are try this to move the linkage forward... If draft works I would do as JMOR suggest if not this is worth a shot..

Warring if the draft yoke is stuck don't force it...

(quoted from post at 12:45:01 04/24/20) Does the Cylinder Control Arm push the valve on the top cover cylinder?

es. Push in for lift, out bit for hold , and out further to lower

(quoted from post at 14:12:21 04/24/20) Lengthen it till it makes valve bottoms out or till there is some pressure on the spring?
he I&T manual quotes dimensions from spool shoulder to machines surface of cylinder/valve casting , different for different touch control lever and draft/position & lift arm positions. One fellow has a technique where, while still operating, he sets to draft, moves touch control until he finds a stable 'hold' position & marks lever position with marker. This is neutral or hold. Then removes lift cover and now with touch control set to his mark, carefully measures position of spool valve relative to casting and he now has a good spool position for hold/neutral. Next, he goes thru movement of touch control and lift arms to be sure spool is where it needs to be for all the various conditions. Others have their own hard earned ways of setting up. As Hobo has said/shown, if linkage is bent one must correct or compensate. If the draft mechanism (rod and cast piece assy) is bent, about the only way to figure that out is direct comparison with a known good part. Can't generally tell visually or by measurement. Not much movement here, so a little bit matters.
