I have recently acquired a 1980 Ford 2600 with the 3 cylinder gas engine and I am wanting to replace the wiring harness the only built harnesses I am finding are for tractors that have a fuse box my tractor
does not currently have one and I have no problem adding a fuse box I personally think it would be a good idea my question is where did Ford mount them on the tractors that came with them from the factory
thanks.

the wiring diagram I have shows a single 3A fuse for the tnstruments....no fuse box.???

Your looking up the wrong tractor, no fuse box on the model.
There is a wiring harness available for your tractor but it's a little pricy, how bad is yours.

My harness is completely gone front and rear I picked this
tractor up from someone who bought for a project and they
lost interest what source do you have for a harness if you
don?t mind me asking

Our hosts here at Yesterday's Tractors sells one. It says it's for a diesel 2600, but the only difference is that the diesel has a wire from the key switch to the thermostart and doesn't have the wire from the key switch to the coil. You can use the thermostart wire in place of the coil wire and it works just fine:

The charging circuit is the same between the diesel and gasoline 2600 so everything will be there for that. It won't have the other ignition wiring, like the coil to the points and the high tension coil wire and spark plug wires, but those aren't part of the gasser main wiring harness either. They are all sold separate.
