Hey all,

Haven t been around much, but doing fine. Replacing the water pump currently. I ve come across this odd honeycomb contraption that would seem like a seed separator or counter. Can anybody tell me what this is?

Hard to tell actual size from that picture as anything I might be able to relate to size-wize is way in the background. What approximate size are the individual honeycomb cells?

The holes in the red plate with the gear teeth around the edge look like they are made to only uncover any one complete cell at a time, so it is likely that whatever it was contained something in those cells that was close to as big around as the holes in the plate so only one of whatever it was could go in or come out of a single cell at a time.

About 36" diameter, holes in the red piece are slightly larger than a soda can, honeycomb holes roughly 2" diameter.

Pics seal it, that is a bottle rack and access cover from a Vendo 83 bottle (Coke) or similar Vendolater soda machine. Picks show machine was in use for years as the bottom of the rack shows rings left by the contact of many bottles. The 83 was a large machine, too big for many collectors. You put your dime in, pushed down on the handle that rotated the rack and cover so you could access your purchase.
