Over the last week or so I've got the alternator wired correctly and charging for the first time since I've owned the tractor. Found front wheel weights at the scrap yard. Cleaned and painted them. And got them put on. Also added hydraulics.

Scratched my pretty wheel weights putting them on.....

If you ever have a need to have your bendix steering assist rebuilt, I have everything but the tie rod ends.Started this last year and have had really good luck with the rebuilds. Also buying salvage steering assemblies. Thanks, Bob

Yes, if it is the Bendix that fits along side of the tractor, I can help you.If you can send a picture to be sure, that would help. Thanks, Bob

Yes, that's the one.I recommend Fedex. It seems they are more careful with shipping.NO matter who you use, you should build a shipping crate out of 1x4's using lots of screws.I don't know how those clowns can tear stuff up the way they do and then tell us they don't know what happened or where it is.It is also a good idea to put a mailing label on the cylinder with shipping tape.I even put a screen door handle on my box to make it easy to pick up.Oh, and take a picture of contents and box just in case.

P.S.Your tractor is looking good!

4 inch thick wall pvc pipe. Glue a cap on one end. And don't glue other end. Use 6-8 screws. Stuff old shirts around it. Guy shipped me one from Nebraska like that.

That is why I recommend wood crates!!A customer shipped me one in 1/4" wall pvc pipe last year and it arrived in two pieces and was barely taped back together.I had sent one back to a customer in the pvc pipe and it was destroyed when he got it back.Luckily no damage to the steering cylinder! Those conveyors have no mercy on fragile packages and employees don't care what happens when one gets destroyed.I never thought tough as nails pvc would get destroyed that easily, but it will.It looked like someone dropped it from a very tall structure and it landed on a parking curb!Crates only for me!
