I have overhauled the carb on my 860 twice, put in a new valve assembly, adjusted the float according to the shop manual, put in all new gaskets and washers, a new tank shut off valve, and yet the carb is flooded when I go to start it, and I have to open the throttle fully for half a minute while cranking, for it to fire. Spark is good - plugs are new, so are points, condenser etc.
This is a fuel issue I am sure.
Questions - is the tank vented on this 860?? My 8N tank is clearly vented.
Is the tank fuel cap vented?
Why do you think this is happening - your ideas and experience is appreciated, as always, thank you.
