changing hydra pumps on a 600

when you guys change from a vain pump to a piston pump, where or how did you deal with the oil sending unit ? theres no room behind the new piston pump for the oil sending unit.
 

Oil sending unit? There's no oil sending unit on a 600, unless somebody's put one in there aftermarket. 600 should have a steel line up to a hydraulic gauge.
 
yes the oil sending unit , the piston pump is longer then the vian pump and piston pump covers up the port where the sending unit screws in the block . guess I'll have to plug that hole and drill a hole somewhere else . the hole looks to be a factory hole in the side of the block ...... thanks for your help

There is a ninety degree 1/8 inch pipe thread elbow behind the pump for the oil pressure sending tube. Click on the link below to see what one looks like. You will have to attach the sending tube before installing the hyd pump.

Like I said, that's not OEM equipment. I'd think it'd be much less traumatic to go back to the original setup than to try to make another port.
