Is there a 2110 split in my future?

I am loving this 2110 LCG, and have assumed, because everything else works so well, that the clutch was adjusted somehow to work as a single stage. I put my finish mower on the other day, & the pto will not go into gear, only grinds. I have readjusted all I can w/no help. Can the tranny clutch be working perfectly (other than adjusted all the way) & the pto clutch be gone?
Thanks!

Yes, that is possible. If you've already
done the adjustment with no improvement,
and there isnt a 2nd hole in the clevis
(not sure if there was on these models)
then you are looking at a split for a new
clutch.

The symptoms you describe and the fix you
suggest were the same on a 3600 I had -
Same basic tractor as yours.
I suggest you split it before ordering
the clutch kit as they used two different
spline counts over the years.

Thanks guys. That's what I expected. I have been looking at clutch kits & have noticed there are several.
Am I doing any harm using it this way? I have to shut it off to engage the pto.

You won't hurt anything if you don't jam
the pto into gear.
When mine went the pto clutch was
slipping so I adjusted it all I could
get. Had to shut off the engine to engage
it.
Didn't last long - only a couple days of
bush hogging and it failed completely.
