I have a scrapped out Ford 6000 that has no chance of ever becoming a tractor again. I sure could use the two side rails for a project that including cutting them into shorter lengths.
Should I do that or am I making a bad decision?

I just sent two of them to the scrap yard myself. It was all I could do to pick them off the ground and
throw them into the back of the truck.

I'd say if you can use them for SOMETHING
it's better than scrapping them.
My brother used the frame rails from an
Allis WD for gate posts. Has a lockable
chain across an old driveway to keep the
snowmobiles and ATVs out.
