Unusual front weights

This 5000 I'm working on has some pie weights... on the front! Uses the typical mounting disk, bolted to a bracket with holes to match the nose of the bolster and bolts welded on to match the mounting disk. Looks factory made... or from a shop that did a good job.

Yes...
After you saying what it was made from, I
can see it. I had though it must be cast
or forged to have those ridges on the
back (forged, in this case?), which would
exclude most welding shops and farmers.
Just happens to be the right width...
drill 4 holes, round the corners, weld
the bolts on the front.
