Ford 6000

I have a friend who has a 6000 Diesel. Serial # is 41438 which I believe makes it a 1964. It also has 611066D listed. Can someone with all the books tell what that number means exactly?

611066D looks like the model number but it has one too many digits. Are you sure that the double 6 isn't a typo? 61106D is a valid model number for a 6000 tractor. The 6
at the beginning means that is a 6000 series tractor. The first 1 means that it was made in 1963 or 1964. the 10 after that means that it is a row crop chassis. The 6 at the end says that it has a S-O-S transmission with dual speed (540 and 1000 rpm) independent PTO. The D suffix means that it has a diesel engine.

41438 is a 1964 serial number.
