Ford 2600 Information

I am looking for some help please I have recently purchased a Ford 2600 and i am needing to know the information the person I purchased it from could only tell me it was a 2600 the numbers stamped in it are

BA253C
0A24B
C631676

Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!
 
0A24B is the unit number, or date code.
January 24, 1980, 2nd shift.
BA253C is the model number, but I can't
find that. BA indicates a 2600. BA213C
would be a diesel 2600 with an 8-speed
and 540 transmission driven PTO. BA223C
would be a gas 2600 with an 8-speed and
540 transmission driven pto.

BA253C - BA2 is a 2600. The 5 means that it has a diesel engine with a horizontal exhaust. The 3 means it has live PTO and the C at the end means that it has an 8 speed transmission (4 forward and 1 reverse on the main shifter and hi/low ranges on the shorter shifter for a total of 8 forward and 2 reverse gears).

0A24B - Unit number which says that it was assembled on January 24 1980 during the day shift.

C631676 - This comes up on an internet search as a late 1979 serial number, but I don't always believe the numbers posted on the internet. I believe the Unit Number more, so I would say that if the serial number is stamped in the same flat spot on the transmission as the Unit Number that it is an early 1980 serial number, not a late 1979 serial number.
 
After Doing some more cleaning I believe that my 5 is actually a 6 so it would be BA263C would the 6 make it a gas engine ?
