Please help, I have rebuilt my Vickers vane pump. New seal, $400 dollar rebuild kit, new o rings etc. Primed pump with low air pressure down dipstick hole but it will not pump bot a few drops at the pressure point on the lift cover. Stumped.

Dan,
f the unloader valve is stuck in the unload position, the pump may be pumping & dumping back to reservoir. under these conditions, the valving prevents flow to pressure point on lift cover. You might try the up-stream point on right side of hyd cavity near foot board. See arrow in picture.

Thanks for your reply. I have removed the the small cover on the top of the lift cover and this gives an straight shot to the pump high pressure port going to the lift
cover. There is no flow at all from the pump.

f in pressurizing the suction side and still no fluid to outlet, I would have to wonder if a line has obstruction. Seems that even if it wouldn't pump that pressure should force fluid through it? Never been into one of those, but looking at cut away drawing of it & can't see why pressurized suction wouldn't push fluid through it, especially when it is turning. Proof meter drive should verify turning.

thanks for your reply. When applying pressure to the suction side with air pressure I can force fluid through the pump with the engine off and high pressure tube
disconnected so I know there is no obstruction in the line. and yes the proof meter shows that the pump is turning

s you see, I am about of ideas. Assembly problem? Flow control setting? .??

What about an obstruction in the pressuere line?
