Today s Junkyard Visit

I was browsing my local tractor yard looking for parts for my 600 Ford. I noticed a 9N with an extra lever out the left side. I played around with it and feel 3 distinct positions. I looked around a little before posting here and it sounds like it s a Sherman transmission. It is a round handle with round knob. What is the value of that? The housing is busted near the starter. I m going to try to add photos to the post.

My sherman video might help you. From what you describe it sounds like a step up or step down trans. Step ups are a dime a dozer so don't carry much valve, couple/few hundred
dollars. Th step down in good operating condition could bring $500/$700

Cast steel, dog leg shaped shifter, almost certainly combination.

Steel rod shifter with aluminum ball, almost certainly step up.
