Someone changed it to a 12 volt alternator. The wiring was wrong and the alternator pulley does not line up and the belt tightened are is tied with baling wire ? I put a 6 volt battery and 6 volt coil on it. I disconnected the alternator wire. I want to put it back to 6 volt. All the wires are still there for the generator. The generator bracket and arm I think are correct. I really donít want to spend the money for a new or rebuilt unit. Iíd like to find a used one.
