601 vs 2000 power steering

Can someone please explain how, if a 2000 is essentially a 601, why a 2000 powersteering kit https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/PSKF1_Power-Steering-Kit_18190.htm will not work on a 601. The kit for a 601 https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/PSKF1_Power-Steering-Kit_18190.htm is 3 times the price, and according to the drawing looks to function the same way. What am I missing? 🤔

I did not look at your links but just a reminder that there are two different 2000s - 4 cylinder and 3 cyl. Could that be the reason?

That might explain why the 2000 is listed under the 601.

The one link you show is for the later 3 cylinder 2000's. The one link you posted wouldn't work for me and by my untrained eye looked the same as the other one. I did a quick check on 601's and didn't see a complete kit. Just my 2 cents worth Greg NE
