Would make a nice tractor hauler

Jerry, we had 2 of these at the ford tractor dealership, the later one, our WWII generation mechanics built the tilt body for it with the winch. As a kid I used to run the tilt body and winch when going out to pick up tractors to haul back to the shop. Fond memories. Believe ours were 800's, good trucks, spent a fair amount of time in the later one.

Our Fire Dept. had both an engine and a ladder on that chassis. They were both diesels probably 8000s.

Similar to the one my local dealer had, but I think his was a 700. Blue and yellow, 391, 5+2. Originally just a tilt deck, but in the '80's he swapped on a rollback. Got to ride along a few times when I was a kid.
The last 10-15 years he was in business, he had a 7000 (late '80's, or maybe early '90's?) with the Brazilian 401 and a 5+2.

If diesel then likely Mack's. We had one in our fleet, Thermodyne diesel single axle semi tractor that hauled a split tandem gas tank. Mack used the Ford cab for their smaller tilt cabs.

I drove a '57 C 750 Super Duty, 332 HD engine, with a beavertail, hauling Fordson Major tractors. Made many trips over Stevens and Snoqualmie passes, to Quincy and Prosser Wash. When I returned from the service in '69, the boss had bought a 68 C 850 Super Duty with a 477. He put an air lift tail on it. Sometimes we would run them over the passes together. I liked the older one. The new one would pull away from me on the flat, but when we hit the hills, that old truck, (now with a 389) would out pull the 477. We hauled two Majors, or 5000s, or a combination of the two.
