SOS Shifter

Well I'm back again. After loosening the shifter nut on the gear selector in order to align the scale with the gear I over torqued the nut breaking the bolt that holds the gear selector handle, Seems nobody has replacement parts for shifter only complete units. Any Ideas?

Get one off ebay... The internal parts have not changed much. I have used 800 series parts in a 3000 series with no problems. they do appear off and on. IIRC the upper cable tube is slightly longer on one vs the other so I had to stay with the original tube, but even the upper cable itself worked fine.

My pal Kenny has a complete shifter off of a 4400 he asked me sell for him. I haven't a clue what it's worth so haven't done anything with it. If you guys had an idea of the value of one I could let it go. Pretty sure it's complete with shifter, cable and tube but I'd have to look to make sure.

Buy a complete one while you can. You will kick yourself later if you don't. I picked up cables for mine a few years ago when I saw them come up.

Someone wrote 971 on the manual but I believe it to be 881 really haven't tried to ID it yet. I'm thinking I have a fix for the shaft by drilling all the way through then using all thread with nuts on the ends.
If this doesn't work then I would pay 300 for yours. They are in the 400 range on ebay.
