Hydraulic Manifold for 861 Ford Tractor?

I rebuilt the engine on my 861 a couple of years back and while taking off the hydraulic manifold I noticed one of the bolt holes was broken out. So went on eBay and found one that looked like it and the guy selling had it listed to fit my tractor. Long story short it wouldn't fit. I don't remember exactly whether it was to short or long but the bolt holes would not line up. I think that I bolted the end coming out of the bottom of the hydraulic reservoir and the end on the pump was a off.

I put the old one back on and works fine anyway. :D

No casting number on the purchased manifold. My question is what could be the difference? Thanks

If it's off at the pump a small amount it could be for a earlier model.
The plates between the block and trans are a different thickness between the 800 series and the 801 series

Thanks for your reply. I think you are correct. I have been looking at the Ford NH parts store catalog and have determined that part number NCA933J Used on & BSN 14257 and part number 310878 Used on & ASN 14256 I thought may be the difference. In checking my 1958 and 1961 861 both have the same manifold with the part number embossed on them 310878. Which means my 1958 was built late 1958 or after. Serial numbe not completely legible. What years have the thicker plate? As I said in my previous post the purchased one does not have a part number in the casting. I am going to sell the manifold but don't want someone else having the same problem that I had.

According to the parts site, the 1/4" plate was used from 1/1/55 through 12/31/57, and the 1/8" plate was used starting on 1/1/58 through the end of production.

I'm not completely sure but I'm thinking the change was when they switched from the -00 series to the -01 series.
Parts look up shows the same number, but if the plates are different seems the manifolds would be too.
Not sure if the manifolds are different between the early vane pumps and the later piston pumps.

I believe the Vane Pump Manifold had one long attachment bolt. While the others are all short. I found a picture of a manifold and vane type pump.

Thanks for the response. Both of my 861's have 1/8" plates. I wonder why the different parts numbers as listed in my previous post.

(NCA933J Used on & BSN 14257 and part number 310878 Used on & ASN 14256)

Serial numbers list for 861

1957: 1001
1958: 11977
1959: 58312
1960: 105943
1961: 131427
1962: 155531

Am thinking the thin plate came when the left brake pivot was moved to the center housing. In other words when the Select o speed came and there wasn't a place for the left brake shaft through the transmission. About SN 14257 on the XO1 series
