801 Hood Major Issue

Some background:
I bought an 801 for backhoe and loader in New Jersey
many years ago.

It looks good but the tractor came with a 68 Jeep 4 cylinder,
no gas tank, no hood grill, no bumper, missing PS pump,
smashed bell housing (to get the jeep starter in),smashed
front engine cradle (to allow the jeep engine to fit) And
a Sherman hi/low aux transmission.

The backhoe and loader are now gone And I am returning the
821 tractor back to a working 841

My problem is this:
I have replaced the missing inner and outer grill.
And I have bought an original bumper. But as you can see in
the above picture the front hood legs have been modified and
bondo-ed to mimic the lower portion on a non-801 leg.
I cannot install the original bumper. HERE IS A
CLOSEUP OF THE INNER BOTTOM OF THE LEG.

And here is the new old grill

It looks like I have to cut off the lower part of the modified
legs above the fake molding bumps to allow proper fitment.
If this is true, can someone with an 801 measure how far
down below the lower leg 5/16x18 mounting holes in the
hood grill mounts and I will try to fix the issue.
Another measurement could be the length of the leg from
the top seem down to the lower cut off point.
I hope this is understandable.
