100 Series air intake grill Type of screw?

On my 841 hood side panel I do not see a hole
with threads on the air grill mount.
I can see what looks like a flat wall located
about 1/4 inch behind the hole.
Is there, perhaps, a miss alignment?

What kind of screw secures the grill?

Used to have square nut in there. Cant remember thread size rite off its. either 1/4 or 5/16 fine

I think it was a 1/4-28.

If I remove the two screws on the intake tube will the
entire assembly come off to service the missing nut?

Yes. Removing the two sheet metal screws allows you to remove the funnel.

Of course, you must remove the grill and screen in order to access the two funnel screws.

Seems like it is one of those nuts on a spring clip.

Don't know how close it is to the NAA, but mine a little screw probably a number 10 or 8 with a square nut on the inside toward the front end of the grill.
