Grumpy Ford
New User
Ok I'm new here so please bear with me. I am looking to possibly purchase an old ford industrial tractor. It has been sitting for quite some time and I'm not sure if the diesel motor is stuck or free? I need some ideas on how to manually try to turn it over. It has a universal joint attached to the front of the crank shaft that operates a hydraulic pump for the hoe and it is very hard to get any bite on it to try to turn the motor over. Plus I am not sure how hard it is to manually turn over a diesel as my other tractor is gas. Secondly The outriggers, front bucket are down and the hoe is fully extended. So I need to know how to lift and retract them manually for transport. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
