If you just bought the tractor and especially if you've never driven one before, I suggest you get the essential manuals and study religiously. The I&T FO-20 is good place to start. Don't begin by switching out old parts with new until you determine of old is defective or not. The FORD carbs used the Marvel-Schebler TSX-528 carb on the 134 engine. Do you see that name and/or a brass ID tag on it? Here's a link to a reputable parts supplier with carb the kit you use with your TSX-580.
