Ford emblem

I recently acquired a Ford 861 (or 41?) with a diesel engine and loader. Pretty decent shape.
As always with "new" tractors it needs a bit of attention. It is missing the front hood emblem.
I am wondering what is the correct one. Rest of sheet metal is good. The loader is plumbed in the
three point hydraulics. To lift the loader, you pull the 3 pt. lever up, and push it down to lower.
It has a trip to dump the bucket. My plan is in time to put a front pump on the motor to get away
from using the 3 pt. hyds.

An 861 has a 5 speed transmission with live PTO. An 841 has a 4 speed transmission with non-live PTO. There was also an 851 which had the 5 speed with non-live PTO. The front badge should look like this:

Just checked the tractor. I think the Ser. # is 2171,
which would make it a 1957 year.
Need to wire brush it to be sure.
It is an 861 Powermaster, diesel,
according to the decals and all.
It does have the 5-speed and the 2-stage clutch.

I disagree with Sean in pa. The pic is showing the 601/701 Workmaster Badge with the black outer ring. 801/901 series are Power Master, which have the chrome outer ring.

Yep, made exact-as-original by Dennis Carpenter Reproductions, and, Licensed by Ford...all others (except nnalert's)simply buy from him and add a hefty percentage price tag to theirs... AND is the correct style used on 58-62 FORD 800 tractors.

Wheatland47,
These badges or emblems are confusing because they are all interchangeable. If someone lost or damaged one, they may have replaced it with one that was readily available, whether it was correct or not. How many tractors do we see, called Jubilee, because that is what the emblem is, so it most be correct.
"That's the badge grandpa's tractor had on it, so it must be right"
As stated earlier, this site has the badges listed for sale. Toward the top are the emblems for 501/601/701. Further down are the ones for 801/901.
You can also check out Dennis Carpenter's site, known for high quality, factory spec parts.
New Holland's site is a bit more confusing. They only have 1 badge listed, as far as I can tell, for all 01 series tractor, which is the Work Master badge. But notice it just lists 501/601/701.
Don't take my word for this, or anyone else's on this site. Do your homework, and make your own decision!
