NAA pump relief valve

I recently purchased a new hydraulic pump relief valve for my
54 NAA. This one isn?t the same as the original (ball bearing
at the base of the spring). Has anyone replaced this valve with
an aftermarket? And has anyone had any issues with it ?

Thanks

It sounds like you removed the cylinder safety/check valve and ordered a hydraulic system relief valve, which are two separate items. The hydraulic system relief valve is in the bottom right hand corner of the center housing in the hydraulic reservoir, accessed by removing the lift chest and the hydraulic pump lines at the rear

Sorry I definitely removed the cylinder safety check valve and ordered same aftermarket. Similar in design but I notice minor differences such as a lack of a ball bearing that sits in the spring

he ball & spring is the check valve, whereas the threaded part with cap on exterior is relied valve.
