NAA rear axle seal replacement

I have a NAA in the shop that needs new rear axle seals and brakes. I have a parts manual for a NAA and also a N series shop manual that does not cover brakes GRRR.

I have two questions, first, what company sells the best shop manual for a NAA?

Second question, I want to get it apart now. The drums and hubs are off and I assume the backing plate needs to come off too. I have the six backing plate bolts out of the axle flange but the backing plate won't come loose. If it does need to come off, is it normal for it to stick to the axle and be hard to remove? I don't want to hurt anything trying to get it off. Thanks

Thanks Hobo. I did some Googling but came up short. Thanks so much for the link. So I missed a step. The four nuts and two bolts are off but I need to remove some brake parts before I get to the last two bolts. This will get the project along quicker. The link mentioned loose hubs. I backed away the brakes and fairly easily removed the hubs without needing a puller. Maybe new hubs are in order too.

If they come off EZ it don't look good for the home team... Axles and hubs may be in your future.

Post on Ford 9N,2N,8n forum to get pix of what worn and good is...

I know so don't have/need pix :(..
