[b:254f6c6cb9][i:254f6c6cb9]Day before yesterday, I got after changing out the old beat up steering wheel. (Looks like the P..O.. thought it would be good to beat the steering wheel to death) He evidently could not beat it into submision!!!????
I got it off, using Royse's idea of a wheel puller.!!! Worked like a charm!!!
Hook up the puller:

Wheel off in about three min's:

New wheel on and center cap installed:

All done and on to fixing the Instrument Panel Gauges!!!

Found all but one of the light bulbs burned out/broken. Dang!!!
Installed the new panel Voltage stabilizer and wrapped it up for a couple of days.
The lft. loader bucket cyl.,(leaker) should be finished and ready to install on Monday or Tuesday.

I think Royse was right.........I'm gonna fix this 3000 till I break it!!!!!!!

I'm not sure TIM. This 3000 has been rode hard in it's lifetime!!! Hard to say what has been installed into all the loose holes!!!
You should see all the stress cracks, that have been welded up on the 772 loader frame.
I think the PO thought he had a bulldozer under him.!!!
I do KNOW, for a fact that he used this 3000, to dig out a "Daylight Basement" with this tractor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They don't call this the rocky Mountains, for nothing, ya know????

(quoted from post at 23:14:31 10/19/19) Gb in Mt; Do you overhaul Ford carbs? If so email me at [email protected]. Thanks, Gary

Nope....don't do carbs anymore!!
I turned that over to another member here.
Look up ROYSE, and contact him for carb service.
I had to quit, so I could take care of my wife after her car accident!

Sorry

Mike;
Am thinking about it, but if I can fix the one bulb with a new one......I don't care about the rest of them.
The idiot lights in these clusters drive me nuts. Also thinking about,
Installing a dash plate with gauges vrs idiot lights. Don't really care too much If I don't have an hour meter.....most of them are NOT true anyway!!!

I'm not planning on ever selling this tractor once I get everything to my liking!

Nice looking steering wheel Gary.
It looks like you got it from the
Dealer.
Pricey but nice.
I like the idiot lights.
The big red eye will get your attention
quicker than a low guage will.
