I need a starter for this tractor, I ordered one from the ford dealer, and the one that came in don't look like the original one, are there two different starters used on these? the dealer said only one choice

Ford's website only shows one starter, part #SBA185086551, also states call your dealer for info, makes me think it's NLA at Ford.
If you add a "A-" in front of the number it makes it an A&I part number that's all over the place. Does it look different and will still mount up or is it completely wrong? I'd pull mine and bring it to the dealer to compare most won't take electrical stuff back if you leave with it

my starter has a reduction gear drive nose of it, and the new one is like any starter, the bolt pattern look close, but my starter has 11 teeth and the new one has 9, on the drive,

Had to do a bit of digging on that info!
Seems it?s obsolete at Ford with a last cost of about $1000!!

Give these folks a call
