I am trying to get a new steering gear for a ford 7600, it is leaking at the sector and the up the steering column. I have it pulled out now and although I have rebuilt a tractor trailer steering gear before I'm really not comfortable getting into this one plus getting the cab out of the way was enough of a job I don't want to do it again.
The issue I run into is most of the ones I see for sell, including here, have two different power steering lines sized for the pressure and return, where as on mine both holes are the same aprox .62 with a 13 thread pitch.
Has anyone made new lines to adapt? Has anyone got a new one they didn't need to?
The sn is C491817 and it originally did not have a cab (now has an after market) it that helps at all.
