Hello all! In the process of rebuilding the lift cover assembly on my 65'up 4000 FORD with independent PTO, I found my check valve stuck. While I had vice grips to pull it out, when it finally come loose the check ball flew the coup. After hours of searching I have give up on ever finding it. My local ford dealer says there is no check ball in it and they cannot locate it in their parts manuals. My "IT" manual plainly shows it in there. Can someone who has the same measure the check ball with a pair of calipers. enclosed is a pic. item number 28

I've never had mine apart so I can't tell you for sure, but the parts diagram does not show a ball there at all. It shows the seat (#30 in your picture), the o-ring (#29) and then the guide (#27), but not that ball. They are numbered differently in the parts drawing, but everything else looks the same.

Interesting that there's no photo but if one looks at the parts list it's there.
#42 is the guide and #43 is the spring, but between them is #42A - ball 15/32" item # 351666S
Same as for the 4600

Parts guy didn't look hard enough!

The profit margin is probably not enough. lol

I really appreciate your help! I will check and see if I can find one that size. I save alot of the balls from ball bearings.
