I need a power steering box for my 1970 4000 heavy frontend single arm box.The question I have is what years will fit this.I have looked on Messicks, and am not sure?If I guessed I would think 65-74 would bolt on.What have is a steering box with two lines connecting at the left side of the box.I'm sure for a good many of you this is pretty simple,I can't see the forest for the trees. Thanks inadvance,Oh my steering box was broken by the previous owner. The splined piece sitting directly above the worm gear has the stops broke off it.Machinist says they cannot can weld on hardened steel.

Your box first came out in 1970, so you could not search anything older than that. I'm pretty sure a 4600 and 4610 box would be a direct replacement with the possible exception of the hydraulic lines.

According to the parts pages, that style steering column was used starting in August 1970. It's similar enough that you could probably use one from a 4600 also.
