63/64 Ford 4000

Question -1 what would cause one cylinder to be dry ? (The one the arrow is pointing to) none of the cylinders have pitting it scratches . All pistons are tight and are not loose .
Question -2 what is this ? It can be depressed but not sure what it s for . I m new to tractors and it s probably a dumb question .
Question -3 can all the wiring be replaced and if so how do I find which wiring harness do I need when I don t jnow the exact year of the tractor due to no numbers from pitting and corrosion? Thank you in advance

I can't tell from the picture why that
cylinder is dry, pitted, and scratched,
while the others aren't. Maybe a bad
plug, causing a misfire, and the unburned
gas washing the oil off the cylinder
wall?
That's the starter button. Normally, you
turn the key, then press that button to
start the tractor. Incorporates a
neutral safety feature.
This site sells many parts, including
wiring harnesses. Usually, you don't
need the exact year. The one I linked is
for if your tractor is still a 6V system.
There's another harness for a 12V system,
and a 12V conversion kit, with a harness.

Thanks lot . Yes it s a diesel . They bypassed the key switch a few times , there s a push button now it does have a 12 volt system already . I m gonna assume it shouldn t be to hard to find injectors for this motor . They looked in bad shape when I removed them . I also need a radiator . I still wish I had my flip phone sometimes as these smart ones aren t that smart . Thanks again guys .
