Friend of mine passed away last month. Has a 58 841-S completely refurbished. complete engine rebuild, axel bearing replaced, trumpet gasket replaced, top plate completely gone through, all new titan 13.6x28 tires. new spin out rims. Sherman combination transmission 1 remote hydraulic. Rest o ride seat. For purist its been converted to 12 v. He spent a year rebuilding it. For those who do restoration you know you end up spending 7 or 8k and you end up with a tractor that not going to bring that kind of money, but its fun. he kept all his receipts. probably hasn't got a 100 hours on it. took it to a tractor show and took 3rd place. anyhow I think you get the picture. Its in Macon Mo now but going up there in Nov to bring it and bring it to St louis, Mo and sell for his wife. what kind of money should I ask? Know its a crap shoot without pis but just trying to see where the market is. Thanks in advance.

Two different people can restore similar tractors and one might be worth much more due to quality of work. Fully restored it will likly bring $4.5k to $6k.

Photos would help a lot but without seeing it I would guesstimate about $4500-$5500 in these parts. Power steering wouldn't add much to the price but would make it sell quicker.
It does sound like a nice machine.

Insufficient information but would guess $4,000 - $4,500 from available information. The market is not good but will likely worsen rather than recover.

Be interested to know where the "new spin out rims" came from.

basically remand the old ones
Made a spacing jig for the adjusters. there are spaced equally. numbered each one in relation to the valve stem hole on the rim made a little jig to reference spacing from valve stem hole to 1st adjuster. cut spot welds out of old rims with spot weld cutter. bead blasted parts . got new 28" blanks welded in adjusters at same spot aa old welds. bead blast again. rims were then dipped in a etching primer at a local shop before painting. I called that new guess remanufactured would be the proper term

St. Louis is in Missouri. Guess your asking why bring it back . We both Live in St. Louis. Property is just a playground. hunt, fish, relax and that kind of stuff. tractor used for mowing

I know it's in Missouri. I've lived 20 miles north of St Louis for the last 62 years. You get it here and I might come look at it.
