Ford 3000 Diesel Exhaust

(quoted from post at 08:44:08 10/02/19) How to install horizontal exhaust pipe to manifold on 3000 diesel?

Like that?

You have to change the exhaust manifold
and buy the down pipe. If you are handy
you can reuse your vertical muffler and
add a rear bracket under the axle.
I always run the horizontal style as I
would tear a vertical one off in short
order under the limbs and branches where
I mow.
When I converted mine I went to an
electrical supply outfit and bought a
weather tight knockout cover to plug the
hole in the hood and keep water out.
Painted it Blue. It looked nice.
Click on the link below. They sell both
the manifold and exhaust pipe here on

nnalert the exhaust parts you need

I bought a 3910D last year with the horizontal muffler OEM arrangement. I even bought a new muffler thinking the muffler was the problem and it was the
same. Noise was terrible. Wound up installing a vertical system and really helped to cut the noise. If your tractor is quiet now it may not be later. On the
flip side I have a 4 cyl 2000D (pretty big HP difference) and it is very quiet with the OEM factory style rear pipe, muffler just over the engine horizontally.
