1710 front end too light

I have been using a 72 inch finish mower with no issue. I figured a 5ft shredder would be fine, Nope! Tractor is pretty much non drivable. I need some weight up front. The local Ford recycler here thought he had some weights but they sold. I need some idea about what weights will work or another option.
I really need to clean up around my pond!

I believe that they came with a weight bracket on the front. You would need some smaller weights of around 40lbs. to hang on the bracket. Dealers remove the weights from trades as they come in so that they can sell them separately. I would check with dealers of any brand.
 
IF the front tires are tubeless brake one bead down and fill the tire with water anti freeze. If I would use used coolent and put the new stuff in the tractor or whatever you drained it from.
 
According to the parts drawings they made 33 lb. suitcase weights for the front. You could mount up to 3 of them. The part number is SBA372110050, and amazingly enough, amazon claims their seller "High Quality Parts" has them in stock, but they're $211.17 a piece, plus $83.03 shipping:

They also made front wheel weights for the 1710 which were 66 lbs. a piece. They bolt to the outside of the front wheel centers. The part number is 9611008. Unfortunately I can't find them new or used anywhere on the internet.
 
The wheel mounted weights will be difficult to find. The frame mounted weights not so much.

Many dealers have a weight pile somewhere on site. Wouldn't be surprised if my CNH/Kubota dealer has weights to fit.

Another option is to visit a tractor /implement dealer and ask that they check with North States (do not sell retail) to see if they make weights to fit. Probably do, and they will not cost $200+ each.

Either will make the tractor steer hard without PS or a lifted implement.
