800 series lift arm system

My father spent a few years restoring/rebuilding an 801. Now I am trying to finish the job and get the machine completely functional. Main problem is that the lift arm assembly original to the tractor would not move at all. I removed the lift arms and found broken springs and much general yuckiness under there. In an attempt to expadite things I swapped-in a lift arm assembly from a parts tractor that dad had (not knowing if this system was operational or not). This set also did not work, so I swapped the parts tractor pump as well : now the lift arms go up very slowly when the engine is running, regardless of control lever position. Huh. Next I swapped-in the control arm assembly from the completely functional 871 that dad had. Same deal : control arms raise slowly regardless of control lever input. Next, to try one last thing, I also swapped-in the 871s' hydraulic pump (along with its' control arm assembly). Again, same result. So the 871 system works fine on the 871 but not-so on the 801. Whatintarnation... The hydraulic lines going from pump to control arms are the only thing that were not changed, so it has to be something with them, right ? A blocked line...?
Any input greatly appreciated.

There is a problem sometimes with the lines that run through the transmission. The high pressure line will leak because of water in the bottom of the transmission rusting it. Does your transmission gain fluid and the hydraulic system loose it?

Possibly a rusted out line. How is the transmission fluid level?
Is it filling up with your hydraulic fluid?

My kids took keyboarding. Back when I was in school they called it "Typing Class", and I barely passed. The best I ever got with less than 5 mistakes was around 40 wpm. My older sister was typing at 120+ wpm with no mistakes, and that was only because the typewriter couldn't go much faster. After she got her first (and only) job she was up around 140 wpm because they had the IBM Selectric typewriters that were capable of the faster speed. When they switched to computers with Word Perfect she was up around 160 wpm.

I had a typing class in high school. Barely passed it.
My fingers were just not coordinated enough at that age.

He says arms go up regardless of control lever position, so I'm not suspecting a line problem myself.
