Ford 801 steering pump

I have a ford 801 diesel tractor and the power steering pump is junk and the prices that they ask for a new one are out of my budget....I have been told that certain car steering pumps can be adapted to my tractor any info will be greatly appreciated

If you have the later style pump with the reservoir on top of the pump, a pump for a 65 mustang will work. If you have the early sleeve style power steering pump, you will need to find the top reservoir to use the 65 mustang pump.
