8730 question

When we bought the 8730, the seller told us that the hydraulics worked slow. I figured that a 22 gpm pump, even on an open center system can't be that slow. Our 50 series Olivers use a 15 gpm pump in their open center system and they work pretty decent. However the remotes are really, really, really slow. Much slower than the Olivers. Like slow enough that if you get into wet ground the hydraulics won't lift the cultivator up quickly enough to avoid getting stuck. You have to stop and wait for the unit to raise enough to move on. This doesn't seem normal to me. Any ideas, guys? Got a service manual on the way, but it isn't here yet, so I'm in the dark for now.

Have you tried different remote valves? Did you try adjusting the flow control valves on the remotes?

Have you tried a different implement(s)? If it will lift light implements fast, and heavy ones slow, then you have a pressure problem, not a flow problem. At that point, it's time to find a flowrater (pressure/flow tester) and start isolating pumps.

Generally, if it lifts normal with cold oil but gradually deteriorates as the oil gets warmer, then you have a pump issue usually.
