Tachometer Cable

Is there an "O" ring on the end of the tachometer cable that fastens to the drive end? I know there is one on the gauge end.

The parts catalog doesn't show a seal ring at EITHER end.

Just curious because the new tach comes with an "O" ring. You can see it in the picture.

I agree with no o rings on either end. I have never seen that o ring on any of the new tachs I have purchased either.

that looks more like part of a dust cover than an o ring to me. make sure that when you screw the end on its pretty snug or you will break the cable. both ends has to pretty tight so there is no movement of the cable housing.

My 960 tach drive cable doesn't have any O-rings in it Del.
