This weekend my brother in law picked up a 960 ford. The machine is complete and appears the be mostly original. It was barn kept most of its life. The previous owner aquired it by purchasing an old gentlemen's property who left it behind.
So he ended up giving $1000 for it knowing that something could be internally wrong with it. It would only turn over a bit in either direction by rocking the tires back and forth.
So we get it home and find that it has thrown the number 1 cylinder rod. Cam unglued at the crank. Its destroyed. Block is cracked by the water pump from inside cylinder 1. Crank is severely scarred and distorted.
Does any one have a lead on a good bottom end? Or even a block or crankshaft.? Located in PA. Thanks every one.
