Having trouble with 8000 not charging I put a new alternator on and still not charging. Is there a inline fuse that I am overlooking somewhere. Should I go to a delco alternator. Thanks

There is also a separate regulator on that tractor. Located under the operators platform in the area of the toolbox. I would check that out before going to a delco setup.

Check the voltage at the battery when the engine is running at around 1200 rpm or so. The voltage at the battery voltage should be between 13.5 and 14.5 volts. If it is lower than that then the battery isn't charging. If you know that the new alternator is good and it's the proper type that needs the external VR then the VR is the only unknown piece left in the puzzle.
