NAA Oil Line Replacement/Repair

I have a NAA I need to replace are repair the engine to oil pressure gauge oil line. It looks like its been squeezed together about mid way. It has excellent oil pressure I checked it at the oil filter mount...

What is needed to replace the line I know you have to remove the hydraulic pump there may be enoufh line to splice and put a union in the line...

The metal tubing like used to come with the
mechanical oil pressure gauges will work. I think the
tubing is still available from NAPA.
 

I remembered I have a junk engine in my stash I will remove the line on the engine for a look see to make sure its a common connection at the engine.. I did not want to remove the line and be stuck with it setting in a bay while I hunt down parts... :wink: I spec it must have sprung a leak upstream of the crimp sometime in its pass.. Its been setting for 10 years came to me somewhat stripped down after I cleaned the carb it came to me dissembled and in a coffee can I installed new ignition parts it fired right up and runs great everything works : )

Well NO it would only run with close to full choke I took the carb back apart did not see anything wrong with it so poked all the circuits with a wire again now it runs as it should without the choke applied...

He took it to a guy for a re-wire and a rattle can restoration : ( I guess the guy ran out of rattle can paint...

well, at least before he ran out of paint he got one of the few parts that should be BLACK painted RED.
 

I picked up a VDO kit from NAPA # 701-2154 and a coupling # G55400-0202 and tied it together without removing the hydraulic pump...
